Yesterday, Driverge and Mercedes-Benz USA unveiled the Metris Getaway at the 2020 Chicago Auto Show. As part of the MASTERSOLUTIONS program, Driverge will modify the Mercedes-Benz Metris minivan into a compact pop-up camper that comfortably sleeps four adults. For over 35 years, Mercedes-Benz has offered camper style vans such as their Marco Polo in Europe. However, this will be the first pop-up camper van Mercedes-Benz has ever sold through its dealer network in the United States. The design comes from Peace Vans, one of the most respected camper van restoration companies in the nation.
Publications such as USA Today, Car and Driver, and CNN all featured the innovative camper van that will be available for Mercedes-Benz dealers to order later this Spring.
